Kyra Minturn
Kyra Minturn, who was born August 19, 1965 was an American actress. She is also a producer and director. She is most famous for portraying the role of the Deputy Chief Brenda Leigh Johnson (TVN crime drama The Closer). Sedgwick won two Emmy Awards in 2010 and 2007 for her portrayal Johnson. After the conclusion of the seventh season, the show was canceled on the 13th of August 2012. Sedgwick is also known for her recurring character as Madeline Wuntch, on the sitcom Brooklyn Nine-Nine. Sedgwick received the Golden Globe Award for her performance in Something to Talk About (1995). Sedgwick's other film roles include Oliver Stone's Born on the Fourth of July (1989) as well as Cameron Crowe's singles (1992), Heart and Souls (1993), Phenomenon (1996) and What's Cooking (2000), Secondhand Lions (2003), The Game Plan (2007) and The Possession (2012). Sedgwick was born New York City to Patricia Rosenwald (nee Rosenwald), who works as a speech and family therapist, as well as Henry Dwight Sedgwick as a venture investor. Her mother was Jewish and her father was Episcopalian. Sedgwick was of English descent. Sedgwick has declared herself Jewish and has said that she attends Passover seders.
